Games, Konami, Nintendo, and Xbox with Bethesda in tow, there's a notable repeated absence from the list as Sony bows out once again. Fable 4 - officially just called 'Fable' - is in development and it’s undoubtedly one of the most highly-anticipated upcoming Xbox exclusives. After picking up heavyweights like Ubisoft, Capcom, Take-Two, Warner Bros. Just last month, GameLuster reported that one of Fable's senior producers denied claims that the game was in.
However, it appears that Fable now has a new narrative lead. Next up, E3 2021 is shaping up after the event's absence from 2020's calendar. A new game in the long-dormant, irreverent RPG franchise is on the way from Forza Horizon dev Playground Games. There is currently no Fable 4 release date, and the newest game in the series is, surprisingly, not called Fable 4, suggesting the series will be returning to its fantasy roots after it veered into. News of the upcoming Fable title has remained mostly quiet since the title's announcement at the Xbox Games Showcase in 2020.
